We’ve having a great time here at RedisWhite — building the site, seeing the amazing submissions that come in, and printing and shipping rad tees all over the world. We’ve also gotten some feedback about how, when, and how often we do things (like pick winners and print new tees) — and to be honest, we haven’t had a real strict timeline or workflow that we’ve adhered to. So, we thought we’d give it a try :-)
Starting April 1st (no it’s not a joke) we’ll announce one winner each month. That means 12 exclusive RiW winners per year folks. The winner will be chosen from the previous month’s artist submissions and after the winner is chosen, all submissions are removed and we start again fresh.
For this first month all designs submitted in 2010 will be in the running for the April 1st announcement. As a designer, this means you need to get your friends, family, neighbors, church, youth group, coworkers, etc to login and vote and comment on your design — stat! As a consumer, this is your chance to get the shirts printed that you actually want to wear, so let us know which design you want to win (and wear).
When we announce the monthly winner, we’ll also immediately start the next monthly contest. So, be sure to have your designs ready to take advantage of the maximum amount of voting days to spread the word.
We’re hoping this newly structured contest will work well for the designers and their fans. Post your comments and questions below and I’ll get ‘em answered.

RedisWhite is proud to announce it’s partnership with One Meal One Day a Compassion International campaign to end world hunger.
RedisWhite.com is holding a contest to design the new One Meal One Day logo for use in the national campaign building up to Feel the Hunger on October 20th, 2010. We’re calling all artists with an eye for design and a passion to help those less fortunate to submit their best logo concepts. One winner will be chosen and the winning design will be utilized on tshirts, hoodies, hats, posters, and other promotional materials.
One Meal One Day asks you to join thousands of college students across North America on October 20th, 2010 to raise awareness, resources and commit to helping end world hunger. Sacrifice just one meal and contribute your lunch money to Compassion International and help feed hungry children worldwide.
One grand prize of $500 and $100 RedisWhite store credit will be awarded. All submissions are due by January 31st, 2010. Please submit a 500 x 500px jpeg, gif, or png file (under 3MB). Submit as many logos as you want to better your odds of winning! Also, feel free to use/enhance their current tagline “Feel the Hunger” or come up with a new one!
We’re excited about this opportunity to partner with OMOD and we’re confident in the RiW community’s artistic ability to deliver amazing designs. We look forward to see your contributions. Head over to the contest page to get all the details. Visit Compassion International to learn more about their efforts to feed the world.
UPDATE: We are super stoked by the response to our ONE MEAL ONE DAY logo contest! Thank you to all the designers! We will be announcing the winner in our February 16, 2010 email, so stay tuned!

You may have received this week’s email newsletter and saw the two designs showcased in the first ever RiW Design Smackdown.
In the friendly name of competition, two faithful designers, Chris Wallace and Kyle Steed, agreed to go head-to-head in a design smackdown. Each designer chose a verse from Romans and depicted it in digital form for you to review, rate, and comment on.
After a week (rating closes 12/07/09 at midnight) in front of the RiW community a winner will be declared and produced. The winning design will be available for sale on RedisWhite.com and proceeds from the sale will benefit a non-profit organization of the winner’s choice.
So, check out both designs Chris and Kyle, leave your comments and most importantly, rate the designs — after all you’re the ones who are going to be wearing them ;-)
